Activation of your WSCAD License
Your WSCAD Software will be ready to go in only a few minutes.
On this page you will find information on how to activate your WSCAD License.
Activate new license
You have bought a new WSCAD license and want to activate it for the first time?
Please choose the copy protection type you have ordered:
You can activate your new WSCAD Software right away as a software-protected license.
- On the first start of WSCAD Software the WSCAD WebDepot will open.
- Please copy your product key into the field Ticket and click Next.
- In the following online dialog, select Activate licenses.
- Select the option I want my licenses on one computer (CMACTLICENSE).
- Finally click on Activate selected licenses now and confirm the activation by pressing OK.
Should you wish to transfer your license to a dongle later this will still be possible. Feel free to contact us using the form below.
In case you have not received your dongle yet, you can temporarily activate your license as a software license right away and transfer it to your dongle later if so desired. Therefore, please follow the instructions under Software copyprotection and perform the steps Transfer license after your dongle has arrived.
In case you already have your dongle at hand, please follow the steps below:
- Plug your dongle into a free USB port of your computer.
- On the first start of WSCAD Software the WSCAD WebDepot will open.
- Please copy your product key into the field Ticket and click Next.
- In the following dialog, select Activate licenses.
- Now choose the option I want my licenses in a dongle (CMDONGLE) to be able to use them on different computers.
- Your dongle will automatically be selected as the target container.
- Finally click on Activate selected licenses now and confirm the activation by pressing OK.
After your dongle has arrived, you can transfer the licenses previously activated as software containers:
- Therefore, plug the dongle into a free USB port of the computer on which you have previously activated the license. If you have more than one USB dongle, please remove all the others for the duration of this process.
- Open the WSCAD WebDepot in a browser window using the following link:
http://lc.codemeter.com/14719/depot/index.php - Copy the product key from your e-mail into the field Ticket and click Next.
- Select Re-host licenses.
- Now select your license and click Deactivate selected licenses now.
- Confirm the successful deactivation by pressing OK.
- Next, click on Activate Licenses.
- Now choose the option I want my licenses in a dongle (CMDONGLE) to be able to use them on different computers.
- Your dongle will automatically be selected as the target container.
- Finally click on Activate selected licenses now and confirm the activation by pressing OK.
Alter license
You have ordered an upgrade to a different expansion stage or additional users?
The WSCAD Auto-Update will do the rest for you:
You will receive a notification e-mail as soon as your new product is available. The update is conducted automatically. All you have to do is ensure that the computer on which your license is activated has an internet connection.
If you are currently using the WSCAD Software, save all your active projects. Please restart the software. On the next startup your new product will show up in the starting window.
If that is not the case, please select your license type below and perform the steps accordingly:
- Open the WSCAD WebDepot in a browser window using the following link:
http://lc.codemeter.com/14719/depot/autoUpdate.php - Select the container that stores your license.
Depending on your protection type, this can either be a USB Dongle or a software container. - Afterwards click on Check license update.
You can identify an available update by the Auto Update status of the license. - Finally click on Transfer license updates now and complete the process by pressing OK.
If your company uses a centralized server to provide licenses, please contact your system administrator
Otherwise, go to the computer that hosts your license and preform the following steps:
- Open the WSCAD WebDepot in a browser window using the following link:
http://lc.codemeter.com/14719/depot/autoUpdate.php - Select the container that stores your license.
Depending on your protection type, this can either be a USB Dongle or a software container. - Afterwards click on Check license update.
You can identify an available update by the Auto Update status of the license. - Finally click on Transfer license updates now and complete the process by pressing OK.
Conversion of your licensing model
You want to change the copy protection type of your license?
After you have received your dongle by mail, you can transfer the license to the dongle as follows:
- Plug your dongle into a free USB port of your computer on which you have previously activated the license.
If you have more than one USB dongle, please remove all others for the duration of this process. - Open the WSCAD WebDepot in a browser window using the following link:
http://lc.codemeter.com/14719/depot/index.php - Copy the product key from your e-mail into the field Ticket and click Next.
- Select Re-host licenses.
- Now select your license and click Deactivate selected licenses now.
- Confirm the license return with OK.
- Next, click on Activate licenses.
- Now choose the option I want my licenses in a dongle (CMDONGLE) to be able to use them on different computers.
- Your dongle will automatically be selected as the target container.
- Finally, click on Activate selected licenses now and confirm the activation by pressing OK.
If you want to activate your license as a software license on the computer, proceed as follows:
- Therefore, plug the dongle into a free USB port of the computer on which you have previously activated the license.
If you have more than one USB dongle, please remove all the others for the duration of this process. - Open the WSCAD WebDepot in a browser window using the following link:
http://lc.codemeter.com/14719/depot/index.php - Copy the product key from your e-mail into the field Ticket and click Next
- Select Re-host licenses.
- Now select your license and click Deactivate selected licenses now.
- Confirm the license return with OK.
- Next, click on Activate Licenses.
- Now choose the option I want my licenses on one computer (CMACTLICENSE).
- A new container is automatically created and the license is activated.
- Finally, click on Activate selected licenses now and confirm the activation by pressing OK.
When exchanging the old CMD dongle to the new, universally applicable UFC dongle, as well as when changing your licensing system from UFC software to CMD Dongle, you will first receive a product key to exchange your license.
This also applies if your dongle is not working.
To activate the license, proceed as described above in the section “Activate new license” under “Software copy protection”.
Please note that a time period of 14 days is generated when you exchange your old dongle to the new one or when you change the licensing system from UFC (without dongle) to CMD. After 14 days the license of the old dongle or the UFC license expires automatically and does not work anymore.
Please return the damaged or old dongle to us and activate the license sent to you by e-mail within the available 14 days.
